Currently, we are looking for a Database Maintenance Specialist to join the ArcBest team. As a member, you will interpret all relevant cost, market, and value-added information in order to analyze complex supply chain solution opportunities that meet customer’s logistics needs. You will develop, authorize, and execute pricing proposals to support multiple ArcBest business unit objectives and protect corporate yield targets.

Your contribution may include:

  • Interpret customer pricing instructions (contractual and otherwise), and load into the various pricing databases
  • Determine and implement the most effective and accurate loading procedures
  • Assist in the general rate increase processes
  • Research and resolve pricing application questions/problems
  • Perform audits of daily database loading items
  • Submit backdate/rerate requests when necessary to correct pricing application on freight bills
  • Assist in monitoring Launch and other Managed Transportation business opportunities
  • Provide support for city routing and service center updates
  • Assist with weekly fuel surcharge updates for modified fuel applications
  • Assist in maintenance of partner carrier agreements
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to rating, quoting, and database systems

As a Database Maintenance Specialist, you will be a member of the ArcBest Yield: Rating team. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on work load.

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred 
  • Basic knowledge of pricing loading practices and terminologies, preferred
  • Basic understanding of company general rules, pricing tariffs, and rating procedures
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Microsoft spreadsheet manipulation
