Currently, we are looking for a Truckload Fulfillment Coordinator II - Preferred Carrier to join the ArcBest team. The primary responsibility of a Truckload Fulfillment Coordinator II – Preferred Carrier is to source and execute cost-effective solutions for truckload shipments through use of the network of approved truckload carriers, while meeting high-level expectations for productivity. Negotiating with providers and carriers on cost and service-levels is required, as well as offering excellent customer service to ArcBest customers and employees. Collaboration across the Customer Solutions department as well as across ArcBest is necessary in order to provide the best service and customer experience.

Your contribution may include:

  • Demonstrate a practical and working knowledge of logistics.
  • Adhere to internal work processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Meet productivity expectations designated for Truckload Fulfillment Coordinator II.
  • Manage all forms of communication (i.e. inbound, outbound phone calls and email).
  • Work within assigned team to drive team goals (Truckload, Asset-Light and Company).
  • Source capacity and services to ensure available equipment.
  • Negotiate rates and dispatch shipments to providers and carriers within assigned team.
  • Utilize internal and external sources to research market data and conditions to identify lane capacity at competitive rates.
  • Expand and further develop ArcBest core carrier relationships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with carriers who can meet any special requirements.
  • Record, transmit, and audit shipment details accurately as needed.
  • Initiate recovery services for at-risk shipments, as needed.
  • Coordinate and assist with various projects, as needed.
  • Identify and report problems in operational systems and processes.
  • Respond in a timely manner to external and internal customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate across the Customer Solutions department and the Company to provide solutions for customers.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in an intense environment.
  • Create peace of mind by becoming a trusted, creative problem solver who is easy to do business with.
  • Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.

As a Truckload Fulfillment Coordinator II - Preferred Carrier, you will be a member of the ArcBest Truckload Fulfillment team. Your hours will generally be 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Business, preferred.

  • Prior logistics experience with ArcBest Truckload Fulfillment. Must have proven track record of exceeding Truckload Fulfillment Coordinator productivity targets and expectations.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
