Wanting to join the ArcBest family? In our search for top talent, we are looking for those that will further enable us to deliver on our vision and fully support our values-driven culture.

Currently, we are looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join the ArcBest team. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and care of the corporate aircraft, which are also operated under Federal Aviation Regulations FAR 135 and FAR 91. Duties include but not limited to normal pre and post flight inspections, line maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and overseeing maintenance performed at other locations (such as approved Service Centers, etc.). Additional duties include fueling, fuel system maintenance and record keeping, aircraft cleaning, hangar upkeep, and other duties that may be required to aid the dispatch of aircraft.

Your contribution may include:

Duties include but not limited to normal pre and post flight inspections, line maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and overseeing maintenance performed at other locations (such as approved Service Centers, etc.).  Additional duties include fueling, fuel system maintenance and record keeping, aircraft cleaning, hangar upkeep, and other duties that may be required to aid the dispatch of aircrafts.

Essential duties include all the items mentioned above, but in effect, the position of maintenance technician in a corporate flight department is more than that of a traditional mechanic.  The role goes well beyond that of aircraft inspection and repair. Many duties that might be covered by others in the flight department fall, by default, to the maintenance technician(s), as they are the only ones left when the planes and pilots are away on flights.  Theses duties vary from hangar upkeep to fuel inventories to budget planning for upcoming scheduled maintenance, and almost anything in between.

As the Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be a member of the Arcbest Aviation team in Fort Smith, AR. Hours will vary with frequent early and/or late hours, including some weekends. Ready to apply? Before doing so, please make sure you meet the minimum requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance, preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in general aircraft maintenance. Training specific to aircraft currently operated, preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Competent in aircraft systems and onboard databases. Working knowledge of hangar and fuel farm systems, preferred.

Certifications: Airframe and Powerplant license.

If you require accommodation in the application process, please contact arcbhr@arcb.com or call us at (479) 785-8963. An Equal Opportunity Employer including Vet/Disability.
