Currently, we are looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist to join the ArcBest team. The Corporate Communications Specialist helps create, coordinate, and monitor internal communications geared toward employees, including emails, employee publications, digital signage, employee intranet and other internal messaging. This position also helps promote company culture and employee engagement through internal messaging as well as through employee and community events. 

Your contribution may include:

  • Assist in writing and editing content for the monthly employee e-newsletter, Wayfinder, and bi-monthly ABF employee magazine, By-Lines, by working with the communications team to develop content ideas.
  • Maintain and develop content for the organization’s digital signage/e-board system, including screens at multiple locations.
  • Contribute ideas for internal communication needs for the Corporate Communications Plan.
  • Assist in writing and proofreading internal communications of all kinds across the organization.
  • Assist departments in executing communications plans as needed.
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism to protect sensitive information.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As the Corporate Communications Specialist, you will be a member of the ArcBest HR Employee Experience team in Fort Smith, AR. Your work hours will be 8:00AM - 5:00PM with occasional irregular hours depending on workload. Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, or communications, or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum, one-year writing experience, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
