Currently, we are looking for a Corporate Recruiter to join the ArcBest team. The primary role of a Corporate Recruiter is to recruit talented applicants for job openings within ArcBest and its subsidiaries. Represent ArcBest at job fairs, campus events and other recruitment opportunities. Perform activities in the human resource area, including screening, recruiting, interviewing, and placement of workers.

Your contribution may include:

  • Represent ArcBest at job fairs, campus events and other recruiting opportunities.
  • Develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.
  • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
  • Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
  • Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referrals.
  • Schedule or administer skills tests for prospective employees.
  • Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements.
  • Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
  • Develop relationships with campus placement officers and faculty members.
  • Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures.
  • Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications.
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, terminations, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.

  • Bachelor's Degree, required 
  • Two to four years related experience, preferred
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites
