Currently, we are looking for a Field Sales Support Specialist, Part-Time to join the ArcBest team. The Field Sales Support Specialist, Part-Time provides internal and external sales support to assigned Field Sales representatives. This position requires superior customer service skills as well as the efficient utilization of resources including effective customer, service center, and field communication to make decisions that resolve urgent transportation-related scenarios across all ArcBest market offerings

Your contribution may include:

  • Provide accurate information on the entire suite of logistics solutions offered by ArcBest.
  • Learn and adhere to internal work processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Schedule shipments.
  • Communicate shipment requirements to the local Service Center.
  • Provide quotes, pickup requests, and review billing disputes.
  • Resolve complex in transit problems.
  • Manage multiple tracking systems to provide seamless coverage.
  • Engage customer, carrier, and internal ArcBest contacts through phone and multiple inboxes.
  • Create BOL’s and provide shipment specific documentation.
  • Communicate shipment statuses to both internal and external customers.
  • Assist in the development of solutions for customers.
  • Monitor the case management system and handle customer phone calls.
  • Provide timely notifications of service options, conflict resolutions, and re-consignments.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Field Sales Support Specialist, Part-Time, you will be a member of the ArcBest Customer Solutions team in Fort Smith, AR. This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in customer service, problem solving, or logistics, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient understanding of PC and mainframe computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
