Currently, we are looking for a HR Compliance Coordinator to join the ArcBest team.This position is responsible for ensuring government and other required reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner in addition to providing other support to the HR Compliance team.This position requires analytical skills, attention to detail, customer service and collaboration with employees at all levels

Your contribution may include:

  • Assist with the reasonable accommodation process and ensure the correct practices and procedures are followed in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Company policy.  
  • Review reasonable accommodation request paperwork and collaborate with facilities and purchasing, leadership, in house counsel and the employee to determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Track and analyze reasonable accommodation requests, identify patterns and make recommendations to improve the Company‚Äôs reasonable accommodation process.
  • Assist with the administration of FMLA, military leave and personal leave of absence processes: prepare documentation, advise employees and managers, and track leave status.
  • Collaborate with the benefits team, employees and Company leadership to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding leaves of absence and other related requests.
  • Assist with the evaluation of Company and subsidiary FMLA and ADA compliance performance.
  • Assist with the development of Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Assist with the data gathering, review and submission of various annual reports including EEO-1, VETS, etc.
  • Research federal, state and local regulations and poster compliance, as needed.
  • Assist with unemployment claim handling on behalf of Company including employer defense statements, gathering accompanying documentation, preparing other employees speaking on behalf of the Company and representing Company on unemployment claims hearings.
  • Assist with employment verifications and other related processes, including overseeing the third-party administrator.
  • Review various HR processes to ensure updated information and compliance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
  • Ensure work performance is in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws.
  • Research and provide recommendations for compliance with various state, federal and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other teams across the enterprise to ensure compliance with all applicable policies.
  • Recommend new or improved systems to enhance or expedite HR processes.
  • Design and draft correspondence, presentations and training information on various topics.
  • Manage special projects by preparing and maintaining project plans, addressing project challenges and ensuring project tasks are completed.
  • Gather and prepare data on various reporting topics, as needed
  • Maintain and advance personal knowledge on relevant human resources topics.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a HR Compliance Coordinator, you will be a member of the ArcBest People Services team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on work load.

  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedure, preferred.
  • Knowledge of company and subsidiary practices, preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
