Currently, we are looking for a Human Resources Information Systems Analyst to join the ArcBest team. The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst works closely with the Human Resources team and Company Leadership to ensure the accuracy and timely upkeep of HR data. This role serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with multiple HRIS functions such as: data maintenance, testing of system changes, report writing, system troubleshooting, and recommending process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst requires extensive contact with various departments, service center leadership, and employees from across the Company.
Your contribution may include:
- Provide support including researching and resolving problems with the HRIS systems, including Workday.
- Manage employee changes including position, status, and salary adjustments.
- Monitor HR business processes and escalate issues to People Technology team and Leadership.
- Work collaboratively with the Information Technology and People Technology teams.
- Support the utilization of the Workday enterprise management software by assisting users with the system.
- Assist with testing system capabilities and communicate as needed when functionality does/does not meet desired outcomes.
- Assist with testing, validating, and implementing business processes, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure that overall system performance is aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as the HR Admin subject matter expert within Workday system.
- Administer EIB’s for HR employee data.
- Review, audit, and ensure data integrity within the HRIS systems including union seniority system by running queries and analyzing data.
- Coordinate and initiate supervisory organization restructures.
- Ensure maintenance of employee confidential information.
- Assess current systems and utilization, identify, and recommend improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
- Collaborate with the People Technology team to create a seamless employee experience through innovative process changes.
- Identify, recommend, and respond to department data requests by utilizing appropriate reporting tools such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
- Coordinate the efforts of various teams including third-party vendors on HR-related tasks and projects.
- Update and maintain SharePoint.
- Review employee security to HR systems for new hires and job changes.
- Prepare response to annual employee security review to HR data.
- Prepare training materials, guides, and documentation.
- Act as the primary interface between technology support, internal/external customers, and the HR functional team.
- Research and resolve HRIS issues, unexpected results, or process flaws.
- Investigate and resolve ongoing customer needs and escalate to HR management as needed.
- Examine trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
As a Human Resources Information Systems Analyst, you will be a member of the ArcBest Human Resources team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in human resources or related field, preferred. Knowledge of HRIS and Workday practices and procedures, preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
