Currently, we are looking for an Intern, Solution Design and Implementation to join the ArcBest team. The Intern, Solution Design and Implementation assesses and conducts projects and processes in support of various departments. This position develops and implements complex supply chain solutions that span various transportation modes and include logistics and technology capability across all business units of ArcBest.


Your contribution may include:

  • Complete fast track training on transportation, logistics, and supply chain within the ArcBest business.
  • Job shadow various roles within Enterprise Customer Solutions within the first 4 weeks.
  • Manage a key project during the internship that is focused around supply chain solutions including consolidation, pool distribution, mode optimization, and process improvement.
  • Develop a solution designed to meet requirements of various departments, customers, and ArcBest subsidiary companies.
  • Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As an Intern, Solution Design and Implementation, you will be a member of the ArcBest Managed Solutions team in Fort Smith, AR. This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, Business, or Engineering Major, preferred. Completed Junior academic year, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Requirements: Superior academic and leadership achievement. Available for travel, as needed.
