Currently, we are looking for an Intern, Tech Employee Experience to join the ArcBest team. The Intern, Tech Employee Experience assists in organizing events for ABTech employees and outreach activities aimed at local schools. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop organizational skills, project management abilities, and interpersonal talents while working alongside diverse teams and ABTech leadership.


Your contribution may include:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of internal events, such as team-building activities, workshops, and celebrations.
  • Assist in managing event logistics, including venue booking, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Collaborate with the outreach team to implement programs aimed at engaging local schools in tech-related initiatives.
  • Design and create promotional materials such as flyers, posters, and digital assets to support event marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with the People and Culture team to enhance employee experience initiatives.
  • Engage with ABTech leaders and committees to gather insights and support various projects.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues across different departments to facilitate seamless collaboration.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As an Intern, Tech Employee Experience, you will be a member of the ArcBest Talent Management team in Fort Smith, AR. This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Education: Pursuing Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science or Business.

Experience: Previous experience in event planning, project management, or community engagement roles, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
