Currently, we are looking for a Liability Resolution Administrator to join the ArcBest team. The Liability Resolution Administrator analyzes and manages risk management issues by identifying, measuring, and making decisions on operational or enterprise risks for the corporation.
Your contribution may include:
- Investigate and process liability claims in multiple jurisdictions which can range from property damage to bodily injury.
- Evaluate, analyze, and assess the product of liability investigations.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Communicate with outside vendors, attorneys, and claimants.
- Determine applicable tort law.
- Minimize company’s liability exposure.
- Subrogate damages incurred by company from appropriate third party.
- Supervise independent adjusters and defense attorneys.
- Prepare reports for management.
- Adjust reserves and/or provide reserve recommendations to management.
- Available for after-hours call handling.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
As a Liability Resolution Administrator, you will be a member of the ArcBest Risk Management team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
Experience: Minimum, three years’ experience in casualty and/or workers’ compensation claims, preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications: Arkansas Adjuster License.
Other Requirements: Must be a self-starter, capable of working with others to ensure satisfactory results, detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple claims from multiple jurisdictions, and direct the investigation of serious accidents and injuries.
