Currently, we are looking for a Manager, Creative Projects to join the ArcBest team. The Manager, Creative Projects is responsible for the creative services and production teams that produce designs in multiple mediums for internal communications, external marketing efforts and any other projects that require professional design. This position serves as the key contact for internal departments and external vendors requiring the services of the team, including print production and distribution of materials.

 The Manager, Creative Projects plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party resources in order to deliver projects according to plan. This position provides the business with exceptional service, as well as develops an exceptional work team that ensures the business’ requirements and internal requirements are satisfied.

Your contribution may include:

  • Communicate with various Company personnel, including executives, to discuss ideas and instructions on how to proceed on projects, and offer creative solutions for design, production and distribution.
  • Maintain brand standards across the company and participate in brand strategy development.
  • Serve as project manager for large- and small-scale design projects.
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, efficient and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Provide input in developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Manage the marketing asset management system.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to secure freelance work when needed.
  • Oversee online and physical marketing store promotional items for company, including budget.
  • Collaborate with the production team to assist in fulfilling the needs of the sales teams.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As the Manager, Creative Projects , you will be a member of the ArcBest Customer Experience team in Fort Smith, AR. This position is a full time position. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, with occasional irregular hours that may occur depending on work load. Ready to apply? Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: Minimum, four years’ project management experience. Minimum, two years’ experience managing a team of direct reports and leading Agile projects. Familiarity with the creative process.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience or familiarity with multiple project management platforms.
