Currently, we are looking for a Part-time Sales Consultant  to join the U-Pack team. The Sales Consultant evaluates multiple types of quotes for moving services offered by U-Pack and communicates with the customer to determine which service(s) will apply best to meet the customers’ needs. Generates phone-based quotes in responses to customer requests. Responsible for securing profitable shipments by communicating the value of the service(s) to the customer. Develops target prices based upon market conditions, costs, and value.

Your contribution may include:

  • Evaluate multiple types of quote requests derived from general print advertising and internet marketing for the moving services offered by UPack.
  • Establish positive relationships with customers while communicating to determine the specifics of their needs.
  • Work to keep customers continuously informed of any changes to their move orders.
  • Understand target pricing based upon market conditions, costs, and value.
  • Generate phone-based quotes to serve the customers’ needs and to gain maximum profitability.
  • Work to up-sell additional best-services options beneficial to the customers.
  • Arrange third-party services as necessary.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of applying the methods and philosophy of operations within sales based upon departmental and company policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other sales team members, supply chain, labor supply base, B2B partners to enhance daily sales, sales relationships and team building.
  • Possess knowledge of the Company’s values system and communicate this effectively.
  • Identify system improvement needs and works to implement them.
  • Collaborate with other personnel, both within and external to the department, to ensure designated projects are completed.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Part-time Sales Consultant, you will be a member of the U-Pack Team. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on work load.

  • Some college, preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn best sales practices.
  • Proficiency with phone skills and Microsoft Office Suite.
