Currently, we are looking for a Payroll and Benefits User Experience Analyst to join the ArcBest team. The Payroll and Benefits User Experience Analyst leads projects in an effort to ideate and improve the employee experience within a wide range of digital people application solutions for Absence, Benefits, Payroll, and Time Tracking. The position leads the maintenance, design, development, testing, and deployment of people application tools to support organizational functions and streamline operations. The analyst is responsible for interpreting data into information that will provide insight for business decisions.

Your contribution may include:

  • Develop system knowledge transfer and on the job training to coordinators or other junior team members (serve as a professional role model).
  • Review Workday (or other vendor) releases and product roadmaps to identify opportunities to leverage new features and functionality to improve and support business objectives.
  • Continuously research Workday capabilities and work with functional SMEs to vet against current business gaps and how the gap may be remediated.
  • Partner in the evaluation, selection, planning, design, implementation, training, and support for Workday tools (and other vendors, as needed).
  • Architect solutions including configuration, integrations, testing, and implementation of new features and functionalities, managing cross-functional impact.
  • Develop functional solutions that are compatible with downstream data translation.
  • Actively participate in Workday Community Q&A Forum (or that of other vendors) and User Groups, apply to applicable Design Partner Groups and Early Adopter Programs, submit necessary brainstorms, and promote brainstorms that will benefit the organization.
  • Participate in governance processes, roadmapping exercises, and cross functional resource planning.
  • Plan communication, facilitate demos, and pioneer training as needed to effectively bring change-impacted groups through a change with minimal business impacts.
  • Provide assistance, as needed, to end users.
  • Lead Benefits Open Enrollment window with technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance for data extraction and loads using iLoads and EIBs, data validation, and troubleshoot errors.
  • Design, develop, and deploy various Workday system business process changes, notifications, alerts, validations, and help text for Absence, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, etc.
  • Maintain work schedule calendars, work schedule calendar groups, and accrual calculations.
  • Troubleshoot Absence Time Off Plan accrual issues and maintain calculations based on Time Tracking or Payroll data.
  • Facilitate the migration of necessary changes from Sandbox to Production.
  • Provide guidance to resolve issues with Payroll preparation, processing, post completion, and settlement of Payroll Operations.
  • Communicate issues and resolutions between the Payroll functional and technical team related to post completion processes.
  • Analyze workforce management trends and metrics and provide suggestions to improve human resources capacity planning and maximize labor utilization.
  • Monitor service interruptions and/or system latencies and promptly communicate status updates and mitigation plans to impacted users.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As the Payroll and Benefits User Experience Analyst, you will be a member of the ArcBest People Services team in Fort Smith, AR. Your work hours will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Product Management, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field. Strong experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: Minimum, two years’ experience, preferred. HR, payroll, benefits, absence, time tracking, or other product development experience, required.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams. High comfort level with any technology.
