Currently, we are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join the ArcBest team. As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will interpret all relevant cost, market, and value-added information in order to analyze complex supply chain solution opportunities that meet customer's logistics needs. You will develop, authorize, and execute pricing proposals to support multiple ArcBest business unit objectives and protect corporate yield targets.

Your contribution may include:

  • Advise internal and external customers on desired pricing and marketing approach.
  • Determine cost projections and/or potential efficiency improvements on both new and existing business opportunities.
  • Develop, negotiate, and implement rate increases for ArcBest customers.
  • Provide rate proposals in order to evaluate and analyze single and multi-subsidiary transportation bids.
  • Negotiate and interpret contractual agreements for ArcBest customers.
  • Direct Profit and Yield Improvement Programs while incorporating unique value-of-service, cost and market based objectives.
  • Execute initiatives to penetrate and monitor business in the Third Party Logistics (3PL) market and serve as a primary point of contact for select 3PLs.

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be a member of the ArcBest Yield: Pricing & Supply Chain Analytics team. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on work load.

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • An academic emphasis in Industrial Engineering is preferred; however, other engineering degrees and majors with a strong analytical background will be considered.
  • 1+ years of experience in pricing analysis is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets, computer models, word processor, computer-generated reports, and PC networking.
