Currently, we are looking for a Student Worker in our Market Support department to join the ArcBest team. The primary responsibility of the Market Support Student Worker is to provide essential customer service support to both internal and external customers via phone, e-mail or chat.  In addition, they will confirm the ability of contractors and provider(s) to meet all shipment requirements and monitor those shipments throughout their lifecycle.  This may require the COE to alert the operations staff of any delays or problems found with the tracked shipments. 

Your responsibilities may include:

• Act as a centralized customer service center for customers that need various information concerning their shipment or ABF
• Monitor dedicated shared inboxes and phone numbers
• Submit quotes, pickup requests and rate corrections
• Create BOL’s and provide shipment specific documentation
• Communicate shipment status to both internal and external customers
• Provide access and assistance concerning the Web site
• Track, trace, update milestones, and enter the data accordingly.
• Monitor Macropoint alerts.
• Follow the standard operating procedure for 13 points of contact.
• Image and index all necessary paperwork

Qualifications: 

Education: High School graduate or has received GED. Required to be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.

Computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

Other requirements: Previous transportation experience is a plus.
