Currently, we are looking for a Student Worker, Trade Compliance to join the ArcBest team. The Student Worker, Trade Compliance will embrace and instill the Corporate Values and Strategies within the Customer Solutions work stream. This position functions as an essential point of contact for customs support for both internal and external customers. In general, this position is responsible for the daily support of solutions that fulfill customer-specific demands that are considered strategic in nature. Performing in this role requires vision, ambition, and a strong desire to succeed. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate internally across the organization, as well as externally with our customers.

Your contribution may include:

  • Perform daily activities including but not limited to; regulatory reporting, compliance training, support, and auditing procedures.
  • Facilitate the movement and compliance of international shipments.
  • Instruct office personnel and drivers on proper customs reporting procedures.
  • Distribute and prioritize workflow to maximize efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between the ArcBest headquarters and remote campuses.
  • Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Student Worker, Trade Compliance, you will be a member of the ArcBest Customer Solutions team in Fort Smith, AR. This is a part-time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Education: Currently working towards a college degree.

Experience: Prior transportation experience, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, preferred.
