Currently, we are looking for a Workers' Compensation Resolution Administrator to join the ArcBest team. The Workers' Compensation Resolution Administrator directly handles workers' compensation claims in multiple states to a conclusion, ensuring compliance with state statutes and regulations. This position also works with departments within the Company to provide financial information regarding claims cost and employee status.

Your contribution may include:

  • Investigate claims to determine if they are compensable.
  • Provide workers' compensation benefits to injured employees.
  • Work with medical providers to insure reasonable and necessary treatment to employees.
  • Work with attorneys to insure proper and timely resolution of claims and disputed issues.
  • Evaluate cost of claims and successfully negotiate claims to a conclusion.
  • Assist in department projects, as assigned.
  • Be available for after-hours call handling.
  • Other duties and projects, as needed.

As a Workers' Compensation Resolution Administrator, you will be a member of the ArcBest Risk Management team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on work load.

Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: Prior experience in liability and/or workers' compensation claims, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel and Word.

Other Requirements: Arkansas Adjuster License must be obtained within one year of employment. Able to handle multiple claims with multiple jurisdictions. Able to direct the investigation of serious accidents and injuries.
