Operations Analyst


What You'll Do

General Description of Duties:

The Operations Analyst interacts with ABF Global Operations Department to request intermodal and drayage costs. They will also oversee the ABF Global paperwork and documentation involved with the movements of cargo for ABF Global customers.

The major activities of this position will include, but not be limited to:
Coordinating shipments with sverseas agents.Assisting in the audit Accounts Payable process for vendor invoices.Sending arrival notices, invoices and HB/L to the customers using the ABF Global System.Keeping a high level of communication with ABF Global Customers and their Customs Brokers (CHB) to assist them with the customs clearance and import/export process.Assisting with the Quotation and cost structure process if requested.Assisting the Director of Operations with the paperwork and documentation process involved with the movements of cargo for ABF Global customers.Interacting with ABF Global providers, such as trucking companies, ocean carriers, warehouses, rail ramps, etc.Interacting with ABF sales personnel in the generation of sales quotes to potential and current ABF customers.

Other Requirements:>/b>

A Bachelor's degree as well as four to ten years of related experience are preferred for this position in addition to experience specifically in the shipping/NVOCC industry.

Normal work hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but may vary based on workload.
