Currently, we are looking for a HOS Regulations Specialist to join the ArcBest team. The HOS(Hours of Service) Regulations Specialist is responsible for the collection, audit, and Federal date specific retention of all HOS records and DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) tracked via Qualcomm HOS system.  This position is also responsible for communicating any HOS compliance issues with driver and owner if necessary.  The HOS Regulations Specialist must meet both Company and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety HOS Regulations.

Your contribution may include:

  • Review unassigned driver and off duty driving reports for compliance
  • Review, document and communicate HOS and DVIR compliance to drivers daily
  • Enter incoming qualified drivers and trucks into QHOS and Qualcomm portal system
  • Train and audit new drivers coming through Orientation
  • Trouble shoot QHOS problems, includes removing operators that are no longer with ArcBest
  • Audit various documents against drivers activities to ensure compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

As a HOS Regulations Specialist, you will be a member of the ArcBest Expedited Claims Team. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on work load.

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Transportation experience (DOT and Safety preferred). Must have knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

    • Communication, Written – Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely

    • Problem Solving – Ability to recognize courses of action which can be taken to handle problems or potential problems, and applying contingency plans to solve those problems
    • Working Under Pressure – Ability to maintain composure when exposed to stress
