Currently, we are looking for an Supervisor Operations, ATO to join the ArcBest team. 

The Supervisor, Operations oversees the daily activities for their associated vertical. This role is responsible for enforcing Company and departmental policies including, but not limited to, customer SOP’s, cost control, service compliance and operational efficiencies while encouraging departmental and company budget attainment. 

In addition, the Supervisor, Operations is responsible for taking an active role in training, coaching, motivating and developing the Logistics Specialists as well as continuous improvement activities while promoting and developing a positive work culture.

Your contribution may include:

  • Ensure company policies are communicated, applied, and enforced.
  • Monitor and execute on Scorecards from OEM accounts.
  • Maintain compliance in service, bid and communication metrics to remain a Tier 1 provider for OEM accounts.
  • Serve as the point of contact to receive all escalated customer and contractor calls and work with the customer/contractor to provide a best in class solution.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all customer shipments assigned to their respected business unit.
  • Manage customer’s SOP and provide guidance to Logistics Specialists.
  • Ensure Logistics Specialist are available on the phones for customer representation as well as to handle pro fulfillment calls.
  • Provide support for customer and contractor calls during periods of high business volumes.
  • Coach and ensure EMP, IQS and Price Guidance metrics are followed.
  • Keep open inner-departmental communication channels particularly with outside sales team.
  • Mentor newly hired employees.
  • Research and investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Make recommendations to Manager, Operations regarding Logistics Specialists such as merit increases, training, promotions, discipline, etc.
  • Provide feedback to Manager, Operations regarding training needs of Logistics Specialists/vertical.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As the Supervisor Operations, ATO, you will be a member of the ArcBest Expedite: Operations team. Work hours vary based on scheduling to provide market coverage during normal business hours. Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: Prior experience as an accomplished Logistics Specialist or other related role.

Computer Skills: Comprehensive knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
