Currently, we are looking for a Owner-Operator Orientation Coordinator to join the ArcBest team. The Owner-Operator Orientation Coordinator champions the values of the ArcBest brand by educating Independent Contractors in a classroom setting regarding DOT and Company policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure a long-term successful partnership.


Your contribution may include:

  • Responsible for the successful orientation of all incoming Independent Contractors to ensure all of Panther’s policies and procedures are clearly understood and followed.
  • Assist medical staff in the coordination of drug screens and routine physicals.
  • Maintain all orientation materials and is responsible for the modifications to these materials as necessary.
  • Work as a liaison to the Recruiting and Safety departments to ensure all driver qualifications are met and all required documentation is collected.
  • Coordinate garage appointments for all Owner Operators in class.
  • Become an industry expert in all of Panther’s, and their competitor’s, qualifications, and recruitment processes.
  • Maintain and service a roster of Independent Contractors to maximize profitability and encourage growth of the fleet.
  • Represent the Company with integrity and professionalism.
  • Work with Recruiting and Relations department to meet weekly/monthly/quarterly recruiting and retention goals.
  • Periodical travel to offsite locations for remote orientations.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Owner-Operator Orientation Coordinator, you will be a member of the ArcBest Expedited Fleet teamYour hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business related field, preferred.

Experience: Minimum, one-year transportation industry experience preferred. Previous teaching/training experience, preferred.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. CRM (Tenstreet, preferred) experience.

Other Requirements: General knowledge of ICOA contract, knowledge and compliance of all DOT, FMCSA, Hazmat, DOD, and Canadian border crossing rules and regulations pertaining to the qualifications of independent contractors.
