Currently, we are looking for an Operations Supervisor, Network to join the ArcBest team. The Operations Supervisor, Network is responsible for supervising the daily activities for the associated vertical. This position enforces Company and departmental policies including, but not limited to, customer SOP’s, cost control, service compliance, and operational efficiencies all while encouraging departmental and company budget attainment. The Operations Supervisor, Network also plays an active role in training, coaching, motivating, and developing the Logistics Specialists in their vertical as well as improvement activities while promoting and developing a positive work culture.
Your contribution may include:
- Ensure company policies are communicated, applied, and enforced.
- Serve as the point of contact to receive all escalated customer and contractor calls and work with the customer/contractor to provide a best in class solution.
- Account for the maintenance for all customer shipments assigned to their respected business unit.
- Manage to customer’s SOP and provide guidance to Logistics Specialists.
- Ensure Logistics Specialists are properly available on the phones for customer representation as well as to handle on pro fulfillment calls.
- Provide support for customer and contractor calls during periods of high business volumes.
- Coach and ensure EMP, IQS, ICSE and Price Guidance metrics are followed and achieved.
- Collaborate with other campuses on fulfillment (FSM on TL product).
- Be available to take phone calls at least 50% of shift.
- Keep open inner-departmental communication channels particularly with outside sales team.
- Serve as a mentor to newly acquired employees.
- Research and investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Provide feedback to the manager regarding training needs of individual Logistics Specialists and the vertical as a whole.
- Make recommendations to the manager regarding Logistics Specialists i.e. training, promotions, discipline, etc.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
As the Operations Supervisor, Network, you will be a member of the Expedite: Operations team in Fort Smith, AR. Your work hours will vary based on scheduling to provide market coverage during normal business hours. Service is provided 24/7/365. Ready to apply? Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience: Proven track record as a Logistics Specialist or equivalent experience, preferred.
Computer Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
