Currently, we are looking for a Truckload Account Development Coordinator to join the ArcBest team. The Truckload Account Development Coordinator works directly with the Company’s largest customers, providing account-level support throughout the onboarding, growth, and retention processes, leading to increased shipment count, wallet share, and sustained growth for new and emerging opportunities. This position collaborates with internal Customer Management teams to meet customers’ logistics needs through the execution of Strategy Execution Plans, which involves working with the customer to identify expectations, developing a plan of action, implementing the processes, and communicating our progress through customer specific dashboards.

Your contribution may include:

  • Work with Sales, Truckload Services and Operations to design and implement customized solutions for Truckload Enterprise and/or Key accounts by ensuring systems, processes and procedures align with customer expectations.
  • Develop strong internal relationships across departments to promote collaboration that drives successful onboarding, retention, and growth strategies.
  • Follow the Strategy and Execution plan as outlined for each account.
  • Work with Carrier Sales to match lane density with sourced capacity, driving our buy rates down while creating strong partnerships with carriers that allow for customer and carrier growth.
  • Provide account reporting on a regular basis.
  • Gather customer and departmental feedback throughout the onboarding process for informing process improvements.
  • Provide market-competitive pricing decisions for ArcBest customers while maintaining profitability and market share.
  • Monitor dedicated shared inboxes and phone numbers.
  • Communicate shipment status to both internal and external customers.
  • Track, trace, and proactively monitor shipments for specific accounts.
  • Maintain communication to ensure freight delivers within the customer's expectations.
  • Resolve complex in transit problems.
  • Manage multiple tracking systems to provide seamless coverage.
  • Identify and initiate recovery for at risk freight.
  • Identify delivery delays and communicate delivery changes as necessary.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.
  • Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
  • Ability to multitask across various assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Truckload Account Development Coordinator, you will be a member of the ArcBest Customer Solutions team in Fort Smith, AR. Generally, hours will be between 7am – 7pm, Monday - Friday with irregular and weekend hours depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

Experience: Previous transportation experience, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
